Executives in these roles come from varying backgrounds and differ in their approach to leadership style based on their experiences. For instance, most entrepreneurs “stumble” into their executive roles after passionately pursuing their dream of running their own successful business. These entrepreneurs are self-starters and possess the necessary drive and skills to get the company running. What's the ROI on Executive Coaching?

ROI (Return On Investment) is a question we’re often asked and happily like to answer. As experienced business owners and entrepreneurs, our team has encountered this question repeatedly as results matter. However, much of the expectations lie on the executives and company key stakeholders to determine what’s most important to the organization.

 

Many companies operate from different philosophies on how to conduct their business. They all, however, understand that a company’s success rises or falls on leadership. Therefore, it’s crucial for companies to focus on first ensuring the executive is operating according to fundamental principles or key virtues on what it takes to be an effective leader.  When companies adopt this idea, the positive results then translate into the company’s bottom line.

 

 In our years of experience, we’ve found that this first metric is an excellent starting point. Studies show that effective executive coaching eventually leads to the overall financial and professional success of a company. Below are some figures to consider:

Studies and Reports

  • A Fortune 500 company wanted to study the ROI of Executive Coaching. They found that 77% of respondents indicated that coaching had a significant impact on at least one of nine business measures. In addition, they uncovered that overall productivity and employee satisfaction were the most positively impacted areas (which in turn has an impact on customer satisfaction, employee engagement, quality, annualized financial results, and more). In all, their study concluded that Executive Coaching produced a 788% ROI.   • Manchester, Inc. surveyed 100 executives, most of which were from Fortune 1000 companies. Their research showed that a company’s investment in BusinessCoaching realized an average ROI of almost six times the cost of the coaching.   • The International Coaching Federation (ICF) reports that “leaders who participated in coaching saw 50 to 70 percent increases in work performance, time management and team effectiveness.” And that’s just the beginning. Under strong leadership teams, companies increase their capacity to scale. They benefit from higher productivity, engagement and retention rates, which profoundly collectively contribute to bottom-line results.
  • In their article, “How’s Your Return on People?” (Harvard Business Review, March 2004), Laurie Bassi and Daniel McMurrer note that three stock portfolios comprised only of companies that “spend aggressively on employee development” each outperformed the S&P 500 by 17 – 35% during 2003.

How it Works

Whether it’s lack of empowerment, focused strategy, consistency, teamwork, inability to change, or something else, executive coaching focuses on helping you discover how you can maximize your professional and personal potential. The Led to Lead® approach starts with conducting an audit of your current situation to establish a benchmark for progress. 

 

We then work together to help you establish your desired roadmap for success. Afterward, we create an execution plan for what that roadmap will look like and how to track progress. Along the way, we adapt, improvise, and overcome any challenges that may arise to ensure you reach your desired goals. Coaching sessions are conducted either through Zoom, over the phone, or in person (based on location and availability). 

 

With your permission, we record Zoom and phone coaching sessions for your reference and review. As an added value, we provide written documentation of action items based on our session for accountability.
